Hi, my name is Lisa Baker and I am excited to be starting another new school year! I would like to tell you a little about myself. I grew up in Mont Belvieu, graduating from Barbers Hill. After high school, I attended Lamar University in Beaumont earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. I fell in love with teaching while substitute teaching when my oldest children started school.   I then went back to school to earn my teaching certification. This will be my 19th year teaching in the Sheldon Independent School District, my 9th year at Monahan Elementary.  I have a  Master's degree in School Counseling and I'm certified to teach Special Education and English language learners. I have 3 children of my own, Hunter 27, Fisher 25, and Piper 11. We have a full house with Mickey and Daisy, our shelter rescue dogs; Sigma and Albert our cats; Slinky the ferret; Dixy and Mrs.Nuggets the chickens.
