Counselor

I am excited and honored to be the counselor at Monahan Elementary!  My teaching career started at Monahan in 2006.  After teaching several grade levels, I became the Math/Science Campus Instructional Specialist and now I proudly served our Bobcats as their Counselor. It has been a privilege to work with our students on many different levels.  I often see many of my former students in stores, and most of them ask the same question, "Mrs. Syon, are you still at Monahan?  "Yes, I'm still there making a difference in the lives of children" is often my answer.

My focus is on supporting the "whole child", as  they develop skills to help them work to their fullest potential.  My counseling services include: individual counseling, group counseling, and guidance lessons.  Supporting students with their emotional, academic, and social needs will help them work through challenges as they arise.
